World Peace Day Sing Along!

World Peace Day Sing Along!
Sunday, Sept 21: the U.N. International Day of Peace
@ 2pm
Mitchell Park ‘Sunken Bowl’ Multi-Purpose Area*

On the U.N. International Day of Peace let’s sing for peace, sing for justice, sing for humanity!

Everyone invited! Bring family, neighbors and friends!

Local song leader Debra Levoy will lead us for this community sing along!

  • Mark the United Nation’s International Peace Day – established in 1981
  • Join Campaign Nonviolence – connecting the dots to work to end war, poverty, racism and environmental destruction through building a nonviolent culture
  • Be part of Sing for Unity – a musical movement to raise our voices to promote unity, community, and peace around the globe
  • And for our Multifaith Voices for Peace & Justice community, this event is an opportunity to honor and celebrate the memories of our dear colleagues and friends, Chris Lundin and Walt Lundin. Walt Lundin was a founding member of MVPJ, who road his bike to deliver hard copy flyers to congregations all around Palo Alto when we started our work! Chris Lundin, Walt’s son, joined our steering committee as Walt was less able to participate, and brought with him an amazing heart, spirit and gift of music! Both Walt and Chris were long time and active members of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Parish in Palo Alto.

*Mitchell Park is at 600 East Meadow Drive, Palo Alto, 94306. The Multi-Purpose Area (also called “Sunken Bowl”) is located in the middle of the park.
