Click here for some short history lessons about boycotts and shutdowns that have had real impact. It takes time, discipline and organization, but nonviolent mass strikes have been successful time and again! Let’s build to together!
The stated goal of this May Day Strike isn’t to solve everything. The organizers know that we don’t have the level of coordination and participation required for that . . . yet. The goal is to start building our muscles for the immense general strike that will be necessary to get us out of the mess of authoritarianism.
So let’s strengthen our spiritual muscles and foster networks of trust and care.
Invite others to participate in the May Day Shutdown! Click here for a draft message to get started.
After the Interfaith Prayer Breakfast, join other local May Day Strong events!
