HANDWRITTEN Letters for Gaza

MVPJ urges us all to join with the American Friends of Combatants for Peace effort and write HANDWRITTEN letters for Gaza to our Senators and/or Representatives today!

Tell Congress: End the siege and blockade, allow full humanitarian access, stop the bombardment of Gaza.

From American Friends of Combatants for Peace:
A member of Congress told us that he’s received around 200,000 letters on Gaza since October 7th. While he got plenty of outreach on the issue, it was the handwritten notes with personal stories that cut through the noise and inspired him to act. Peace is not passive. We must reject the war machine that thrives by dividing Israelis, Palestinians, and people around the world. There isn’t a moment to lose. The world needs you to speak up right now.

Here’s what to do next:

  1. Write your letter — Use our sample script below to get started. Make it personal. Make it heartfelt. Sample script: Dear Senator/Representative,

***Insert your name, city/town. Share a personal story or experience about why you care about the suffering in Gaza, the hostages and prisoners, and an end to the war.

I am heartbroken that 2 million Palestinian civilians in Gaza are suffering from extreme hunger under Israel’s blockade and ongoing military offensive. The fear of starvation for the remaining Israeli hostages deepens this tragedy. I urge you to call on the Trump Administration to use all available diplomatic tools to lift the blockade immediately and push for a permanent ceasefire.

Gaza and the hostages need your compassion and action now more than ever. Please do the right thing.

  2. Ask a friend to do the same — That’s how this grows.
  3. Mail your letter — Use this tool to locate the correct mailing addresses for your Members of Congress: https://www.senate.gov/senators/senators-contact.htm
  4. Share your letter — Snap a photo while writing or mailing and email it to us. You can also post on social using #LettersforGaza to inspire others.

Let this be the moment that enough of us rise to end the relentless slaughter of irreplaceable human lives. Let us take action to build a future where all are safe and free.
