Join Nuestra Casa’s Bayshore Limpiezas, community shoreline cleanups happening this September and October. This is a wonderful opportunity for your participants to engage in environmental stewardship while connecting with community.
Event Date & Location:
October 10 — Cooley Landing, 2100 Bay Rd, East Palo Alto, CA 94303
Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (please arrive by 8:45 AM for check-in)
What to Expect:
- Check-in at the Nuestra Casa table (blue tablecloth with our logo, near the parking lot)
- Brief orientation and waiver completion
- Guided walk to the trail with Ranger Miguel from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
- Community shoreline cleanup
- Peak migratory bird season viewing — bring binoculars if you have them! Ranger Miguel will bring binoculars and a spotting scope for participants to learn about the birds migrating through the area
What We Provide:
- All cleanup supplies
- Snacks and refreshments
- Expert guidance from U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service
- T-shirt and cap for each adult
What Participants Should Bring:
- Appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear
- Water bottle
- Willingness to support our community on an outdoor walk!
Parking: Limited parking available; we encourage carpooling.
