Description: First Congregational Church of Palo Alto is excited to host Alice Rothchild for a fireside chat!

Alice Rothchild, a Jewish activist, physician, and writer, has dedicated her life to the intersection of healthcare, social justice, and advocacy for Palestinian rights. A retired obstetrician-gynecologist and former Harvard Medical School faculty member, she has been a leading voice in progressive movements since the 1960s, championing feminism, health reform, and underserved communities. Her activism deepened through her involvement with Jewish Voice for Peace as a member of their Health Advisory Council and her commitment to addressing the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, which she explores in her books, films, and lectures. Rothchild also serves on the boards of organizations like the Gaza Mental Health Foundation and We Are Not Numbers, and writes extensively about trauma, resilience, and the role of American Jewry in justice work. Her latest book is a memoir titled Inspired and Outraged: The Making of a Feminist Physician. alicerothchild.com
