It is important these days to have good de-escalation tools fresh in our minds, hearts and spirits. The bay area Gandhi Team, who trains Peace Ambassadors* for protests, rallies, etc., has a 30 minute de-escalation video available for all of us! CLICK HERE to watch it.

MVPJ has invited the Gandhi Team to do an advanced 3-hour training for us and our communities. We ask that everyone watch the introductory 30 minute video before attending the event to make best use of our time together.

When you complete this training, you will be able to join a Peace Ambassador* Team. However, you do not have to join a team afterwards. This is a training that you will find useful and applicable in a variety of settings in your life, and that we all may need whenever we are involved in demonstrations, rallies or vigils.

Everyone is welcome.

*Peace Ambassadors help to keep marches and demonstrations peaceful and safe. They’re usually the friendly, diplomatic type who can respond calmly in tense situations. You must be at least 18 years old to serve as a Peace Ambassador.

Vent at home.
In public practice discipline and self-control.
It takes more courage.”
