Join organizers with the Nonviolent Cities Project at this virtual teach-in on October 2, the International Day of Nonviolence, and learn how they’ve been advancing nonviolence skills, practices, solutions, and action in their local towns, cities, and communities. This one-hour virtual teach-in will include organizers from Owensboro and Louisville, KY; Little Rock, AR; Seaford, DE; Joliet, IL; and more. This teach-in will be a roundtable discussion with the organizers, with time for Q&A and discussion. If you’ve been curious about the Nonviolent Cities Project, join us! You’ll hear about projects like replacing cops in schools with unarmed peacekeepers from the local neighborhood, training children and youth in conflict skills, peace art displays at local libraries; gun violence prevention efforts; proclamations and resolutions; and many other initiatives.
