Join us for these 3 Israeli documentaries that reach across the barriers separating Israelis and Palestinians. These moving and thought provoking films will be followed by short commentaries and Q & A led by people with expertise in each film’s subject matter.


Thursday, Feb. 22 7:00 PM Arna’s Children Arna, an Israeli activist, founds a children’s theatre group in a Palestinian refugee camp. The film documents the power of love and the tragic human toll of war.

Thursday, March 29 7:00 PM On the Objection Front Follows the paths of several Israeli soldiers whose experiences enforcing an Occupation eventually lead them to take public – and eloquent - stands for conscience and against military service in occupied lands.

Commentator: Avner Efendowicz, Israeli “refusenik” Thursday, April 26 7:00 PM The Land of the Settlers Parts I and II of a television documentary series produced by Israel’s “Mr. TV”, Haim Yavin, interviews settlers in the West Bank, displaced Palestinians, soldiers and victims of violence; shows the human drama of checkpoints, olive groves struggles, dispossession and suicide bombers. Thursday, May 24 7:00 PM The Land of the Settlers Part III of the Israeli documentary series explores the reasons behind and the impact of the Wall, in particular the increase in suffering for Palestinians in affected areas; Part IV documents the struggles surrounding the disengagement from Gaza.
